About us

Musyck Anon is a group of singers whose particular interest and enjoyment is in early music.  We were founded in 1981, and some founder members still sing with us, as well as many newer members.

We are based in Evesham, Worcestershire (in the UK) and our members come from the Vale of Evesham and the surrounding area.  Usually, but not always, we sing in colourful 17th century costumes.

We perform throughout the year, taking part in festivals like the Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations in Stratford, as well as singing at concerts and private functions (see events).

We are equally happy to sing in churches, village halls, outdoors or indoors and enjoy this variety of venues.

Our repertoire is varied and, as well as music from the 16th and 17th centuries, we sing contemporary works.  We plan our performances around themes which match particular occasions (see repertoire).

We currently number 20 voices, including our Conductor, Robert Chadburn (pictured on the right).

Not all of our singers take part in every performance, so if you wish to invite us to a venue which has limited space, we can take that into account.

We are always looking for new members who might like to join us (see join us).
